I've been meaning to correspond for some time, but it is by no means obvious how to comment on your site.

For your raised-beds and other gardens, may I, speaking from experience, recommend a magic mulch/fertiliser? Sheep shmanure! Seriously. Not good to incorporate in the garden, as it contains a heavy load of weed seeds. However, used as a mulch, with the fertiliser being washed down into the soil, works really REALLY well. Take the word of someone who grew up on an Australian sheep farm. If you have friends or acquaintances who have such, and you have empty plastic dog-food bags, you could collect a load from under a shearing shed one weekend, and have enough stored in your garden shed to last you for about two years. No good for root vegetables, or leaf vegetables in contact with the soil, of course, but terrific for everything else. Just do all your prep, planting, get them started, then mulch the top with the dried manure. If necessary, top with a layer of loose dry straw.
